Jess is a Wanderer spent Christmas 2016 mooching around this natural beauty – just two hours from Sydney’s bustling CBD.

I decided that I wanted to go somewhere warm for Christmas. As much as Christmas by an open fire, sipping mulled wine whilst wrapped up in one of granny’s knitted jumpers does sound perfect… this year, I just wanted some sunshine and beaching. Australia did not disappoint. I couldn’t justify spending almost three weeks lying on the beach so I did some exploring too. The Blue Mountains did not disappoint. There was so much to do and despite having a homemade sandwich and a warm tinny of VB for my Christmas lunch, I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else.
