Alagoinhas is a city of 153,000 people (2022) in Bahia Interior.

Buses from Salvador take around 2 hours and 20 minutes.

By car

A taxi or driving yourself via the BR-324 in average traffic conditions takes an hour and 40 minutes.

The BR-101, which crosses Brazil from north to south, connects the city from cities in the northeast such as Recife and Aracaju, as well as cities such as Vitória and Rio de Janeiro, in the southeast of the country. The BR-110 also crosses the city, which connects it to the northeast through the interior of the region. State highways connect the city to BR 116 and also to Linha Verde.
