Annot

Annot is a village in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Annot is nestled 750m up in the valley of the Vaïre between the Mercantour National Park and the Gorges du Verdon.

By train

Annot is on the line of the Train des Pignes, a private railway from Digne-les-Bains to Nice, with four to five trains daily in each direction. Contact Chemin de Fers de Provence, Tel: +334 97 03 80 80.

By bus

Annot lies on the Nice-Gap line, but the stop is at Les Scaffarels, 2km from Annot proper. Contact Autocars SCAL, Tel: +334 92 51 06 05.

The old village is a truly fascinating area to explore. The district also encompasses the hamlets of Rouaine, Les Scaffarels and Les Gastres.

  • Travel by a steam train on the rail line.
  • Do the waymarked walk of the Grés d'Annot. The grés are vast boulders lying close to the village.
