Arak

Arak, also known as Soltan Abad, is a major industrial city of 550,000 and the capital of Markazi Province in Western Iran.

By air

The airport is mainly for domestic flights, but there's a few seasonal international flights.

There are multiple daily trains from Tehran, with a travel time of around five hours, as well as regional trains from nearby cities. In addition, an overnight trains connects with the eastern city of Mashhad.
