Argostoli

Argostoli (Greek: Αργοστόλι) is the capital of Kefalonia and the island's main town.

  • 🌍 Archaeological Museum, G. Vergoti Str, +30 26710 28300. The museum houses antiquities from the island of Kefalonia, ranging from the prehistoric to the Roman periods. It also contains a remarkable collection of Mycenaean finds.
  • 🌍 Corgialenios Library, 12, Ilia Zervou, +30 2671 28835. Monday - Saturday: 9am-2pm. Friday: 5pm-9pm. Also a folk museum with collections of ceramics, sculptures textiles, silver utensils and rare books. There is a small entrance fee.

The best hotels are located in the northern section of the seafront, just beyond the harbor.
