Arovudi

Arovudi is a small coastal village on Ovalau Island, Lomaiviti Islands, Fiji.

Get in

There are daily transports by plane or ferry from Suva to Levuka - Ovalau Island

Once on Ovalau transport to Silana can be by taxi from Levuka town anytime you want. This takes about 30 min, cost is approximately $20.

Alternatively, for the real Fiji experience take the local carrier and travel as the Fijians do. Departs around noon and around 4PM, cost is $3 and its takes as long until you there.

Local fare including Lovo - a traditional Fijian meal cooked slowly in the ground.

Sleep

This is a great out of the way place. Next to Arovudi, on the opposite side of Ovalau to the historic Leveka town. Authentic cheap food cooked by Seru and Sala. The beach is fine white coral, with great snorkelling right out front.

Accommodation options with shared facilities include tents, dorm or cottage. There is also a self contained cottage available. This place is a must if you want to stay of the tourist trail with plenty to do including relaxing.
