Artemisa

Artemisa is the capital of Artemisa province in Western Cuba. Before 2011 it was a part of Havana province.

Get in

There are two trains per day from Havana, but knowing the unreliability of Cuba's train system, don't count on it. Hiring a car is your best option. There are also collective taxis along the carretera central.

  • 🌍 Artemisa railway station.

Get around

There is no public transport.

See

  • Mausoleo a los Martires de Artemisa, Av 28 de Enero. 1 CUC.
  • Museo de Historia.

Eat

  • Peso Pizza, cnr Calles 31 & 54. Very good pizza by Cuban standards. They also sell batidos.

Sleep

Options are very limited. There is one hotel. Ask locally about a casa particular.
