Atlanta (Michigan)

Atlanta is a small community of about 830 people (2010) in Northern Michigan. It is the seat of Montmorency County, and has been proclaimed as the "Elk Capital of Michigan". It is a popular destination for hunting and fishing.

  • 🌍 Clear Lake State Park, 20500 M-33 North, +1 1-989-785-4388. A 290-acre (120-ha) park on the shoreline of spring-fed, 133-acre (54-ha) Clear Lake. It is located in Mackinaw State Forest. It offers swimming, fishing, boat launches, hiking, picnicking, playground, and camping.
