From Tenterfield, take Mount Lindesay Road up until you arrive at the park.

Fees and permits

There is a fee of $8 a day.

See

  • Bald Rock. A large granite outcrop rising about 200 metres above the surrounding landscape. Measuring about 750 metres long and 500 metres wide, this is the largest granite monolith in Australia.
    • 🌍 Bald Rock Trig lookout. Once you've climbed the Bald Rock Summit walking track, the views overlooking both the Queensland and New South Wales are a hard-earned reward.

Do

  • Bald Rock Summit walking track is a 3.2 kilometre loop trail that takes about 1-2 hours to do. As the name suggests, it passes thru the peak of the rock.

There are no shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs et cetera in the park.

  • 🌍 Bald Rock campground, Bookookoorara Trail, Carrolls Creek. A campground with 14 campsites, perched on the edge of the summit walk. Includes a nearby picnic area.
