Bogdanci

Bogdanci (Macedonian:Богданци) is a city located in southeastern North Macedonia. The city is home to over 6,000 residents, while Bogdanci Municipality, which consists of three additional villages, has a population of around 8,700. The municipality is home to one of North Macedonia's few wind farms.

  • 🌍 Church of the Dormition of the Holy Mother of God (Црква „Успение на Пресвета Богородица“) (village of Gjavato). Built in 1834, the church suffered a fire in 1913 and has not been re-frescoed, though it does have an iconostasis composed of historic as well as newer icons. The three-nave church has a spacious yard housing the village's cemetery, as well as a bell tower that stands prominent in Gjavato.
  • 🌍 Church of Saint Nedela (Црква „Св. Недела“) (village of Stojakovo). In the middle of Stojakovo, Saint Nedela was built around 1860. It was mostly destroyed in World War I and got its present appearance in the early 1920s. The three-nave church has a tower above its central entrance and a porch on its side. Its yard contains the village cemetery and a bell tower.
