Burren Junction

Burren Junction is a hamlet of 225 (2021) in Northwestern New South Wales. It is in the Walgett Shire Local Government Area.

Burren Junction started as a railway encampment in 1902.

Although there is a railway line, you will only be travelling on it if you're a shipment of wheat. There is an airstrip at Burren Junction Airport, but no scheduled flights.

  • 🌍 Bore Baths. Seasonal opening, closed in summer. Artesian bore at a constant 41.5 degrees C. The bore was sunk in 1921.
