Curitibanos

The municipality is a major agricultural producer, with emphasis on the production of cereals such as soybeans and corn, fruit growing, especially apples, persimmons and peaches. Also noteworthy is the production of garlic, which has already given it the title of "national capital of garlic"

Cattle raising stands out.

• BR-116 passes by near the eastern end of town, connecting from Lages and eventually Porto Alegre in the south, or from Santa Cecília and eventually Curitiba in the north
