Hoani

Hoani is a beautiful and friendly village in Moheli. Villagers are active in community-building and environmental protection.

Conservation centre. Tourists can buy handicrafts here. Local ecoguards (similar to rangers) sleep here while protecting the turtles from poachers.

Tourist bungalows. Very comfortable. Run by the village association for the benefit of the villagers.

Go next

There is a boat to Chindini, Grand Comore. A word of warning about this boat: only take it when the sea is calm, as the boat is small and occasionally malfunctions.
