Kannus

Understand

One of the larger towns in the Central Ostrobothnia and the Southern Oulu region (making up the "river valleys" region), Kannus unsurprisingly is bisected by a river - Lestijoki. It's also comparatively accessible by public transit even from further away as the main track from Helsinki up to Lapland passes through.

Get in

By train

By car

Highway 28 connects to Kokkola from the west and Highway 4 (Finland) and Kajaani from the east. Local road 775 goes to Himanka on the coastal Highway 8.
