Kenema is on one of the major trunk roads. It takes less than an hour from Bo on a very good road. It is possible to reach Kenema in 3-4 hours from Freetown depending on traffic.

There are not many options in Kenema. Some people choose to stay in Bo since it is an easy/quick journey by road.
