There are two stations in Laveno, served by trains from Milan via Varese, from Milano Malpensa Airport, Gallarate and Bellinzona in Switzerland.

By car

Laveno is not directly served by a motorway, but can easily be reached by car.

From Milan follow the A8 motorway until the Azzate-Buguggiate exit, then follow the signs for Laveno on the SP1 and SP394dir.

From Piedmont follow the A26 motorway until the Sesto Calende exit, then follow the signs for Laveno on the SS629 and SP394dir.

By boat

From the western side of Lake Maggiore, you can take the car ferry from Intra in Verbania.
