North Central Nigeria

North Central Nigeria is a region of Nigeria. It is the larger chunk of the Nigerian Middle Belt, and is composed of the following states: Benue State, Kogi State, Kwara State, Nasarawa State, Niger State, Plateau State, and the Federal Capital Territory.

Colloquially called the "Food basket of the nation", Benue State is one of the biggest farming states in Nigeria.

 Niger State
The largest state in Nigeria (by area) named after the River Niger.

  • 🌍 Jos β€” Capital of Plateau state. Jos is infamous for its extraordinarily cold weather. For this reason, it was said to be a favorite haunt for the British during the colonial period. With cheap and abundant food, and fine weather, life in this city is however marred by periodic violent clashes, a result of simmering ethnic and religious tensions.
