Ogrodzieniec

Ogrodzieniec is a historic town in southern Poland, situated north of Kraków in the Ojców mountains. The town is famous for its beautiful castle ruins. The Gothic-Renaissance ruins are the biggest of its kind in Poland.

  • 🌍 Ogrodzienic Castle. The castle in Ogrodzieniec was built by Casimir the Great in the 14th century and rebuilt as one of the most beautiful Renaissance palazzos in fortezza in Europe. It was destroyed in 1655 by the Swedish and fell into ruin. Today it is one of the region's best known tourism sites.

As of April 2024, Ogrodzieniec and its approach highways have 4G from all Polish carriers, though T-Mobile is patchy. 5G has not reached this area.
