Oliveira is served by interregional and regional trains along the Linha do Norte (Northern Line) from Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, and Aveiro. There is another station in the municipality at Oiã.
  • Although the A1 motorway (Autoestrada do Norte) cuts through the municipality, the nearest exit (15) is north of the municipal boundary. From there, you can take the N235 road to reach the city.
  • The A17 motorway (Autoestrada do Litoral Centro) runs just outside the municipality's western edge and serves the towns there.
