Pastavy (Postavy, Postawy) is a town in Vitebsk Oblast, Belarus.

Pastavy in the northern part of the country in the Belarusian Lake District, on the Miadziołka River, a tributary of the Dzisna, 20 km from the border with Lithuania.

See

  • 🌍 Church of St. Anthony of Padua (Касцёл Святога Антонія Падуанскага). A nice small Gothic Revival church completed in 1904. The interior is well worth seeing.
  • 🌍 Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (Свята-Мікалаеўская царква). The church was built in 1891–1893.
  • 🌍 Tyzenhauz and Przeździecki Palace (Палацава-паркавы комплекс Тызенгаўзаў). This classicist palace of Tyzenhauz was built in the second half of the 18th century. After World War II, it was rebuilt into a hospital, which remains there.
  • Landscape park - fragments of the former park surrounding the palace with a system of ponds, canals and alleys.
  • Market Square, or Lenin Square, with Baroque tenement houses and stalls (2nd half of the 18th century) built for the workers of A. Tyzenhauz's manufactories.
  • Synagogue and Jewish cemetery
  • Watermill (19th century)
  • Administrative building of the Starosty of the Poviat of the Second Republic of Poland
