Santa Rosa Beach

Santa Rosa Beach is in the Emerald Coast region of Florida. The settlement, once known as Hogtown, is on the shores of Hogtown Bayou of the Choctawhatchee Bay.

  • 🌍 Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, 7525 W Scenic Hwy 30A (off US-98; there are two main entrances, the west one served by a paved road and the east one by a four-wheel drive required road), +1 850 267-8330. A 1,640-acre park with three miles of white sand beaches, along with lakes, and wetlands. The endangered Choctawhatchee beach mouse can be found here.

  • 🌍 Deer Lake State Park, 6350 E County Rd 30-A, +1 850 267-8300. There are beaches and picnicking areas in the park, but it also provides opportunities for birding, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
  • 🌍 Grayton Beach State Park, 357 Main Park Rd, +1 850 267-8300. The park, which opened in 1968, is the location of salt marshes, dunes, and blue-green waters. It's a good place for swimming, fishing, snorkeling, and camping, and within the 2,200 acres of the park is space for recreational vehicle and tent camping, along with 30 cabins.
