Slutsk

Slutsk (also Sluck) is a city in Minsk Oblast, Belarus. Ornamental silk sashes woven in Slutsk were once famous throughout the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and today the town has a museum dedicated to them.

Slutsk has a 🌍 railway station, but a bus or a car will get you there faster. Trains from Mogilev and Salihorsk stop at Slutsk.

  • Football: the town team SFC Slutsk play soccer in the Premier League, the top tier in Belarus; the playing season is April-Nov. Their City Stadium (capacity 1900) is southwest of the centre.
FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk also play in the Premier League. Their home ground Stroitel Stadium (capacity 4200) is in the city of Soligorsk (or Salihorsk, Салігорск) 20 km south of Slutsk.
