Koringberg

Koringberg is a village of 1,200 people (2011) in the Swartland region of the Western Cape province of South Africa.

The name is Afrikaans and means ‘wheat mountain’.

It is popular in the last decade with urbanites who want to experience the peace and quiet of the countryside. The Berg River and the Misunderstanding Dam are nearby.

By car, via the N7 national road. It lies 6 km west of the N7 national road between Piketberg and Moorreesburg and 15 km from both towns. It is 118 km north-north-east of Cape Town.

The nearest airport is Cape Town International.
